Includes hard shell case and instructions. Description: The digital protractor is a breakthrough in measurement technology that provides instant digital display of level, angle and tilt. Place the digital protractor on a surface and measue angles with precision and efficiency. All four edges are true reference planes, allowing measurement on any vertical or horizontal surface. The digital protractor consists of a rugged electronic sensor, microporcessor, advanced custom VLSI microcircuitry and liquid crystal display, in a high impact composite frame. The protractor is a precise, versatile and economical measurement tool with an unlimited number of applications. ALTERNATE REFERENCE. (Floating Zero). The alternate reference feature allows angular measurements from a user-selected surface other than level. READING HOLD. The display reading is held after the "HOLD" button is depressed to permit measurements in hard to see locations. Push again to remove hold. CONVERSION. Depress the HOLD and ALT REF buttons simultaneously to convert from degrees to mils, to mm/m to in/ft., to % grade. SPC (Statistical Process Control) OUTPUT Protractor can interface with Mitutoyo, SPI, GAGE Talker, or Data Myte processors and date collectors. EAST TO READ LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY (LCD) Direct reading large numerals. No interpretation, interpolation, or guesswork is required to know the angle being meausred. LOW POWER. The protractor will operate approximately 100 hours with a standard 9 volt battery. STAINLESS STEEL BASEPLATE. In addition to this rugged, reference surface each eadge of the Digital Protractor is accurately manufactured to allow measurement against vertical surfaces and underside of horizontal surfaces. Each edge also has a precision "Vee" groove to ensure accurate registration on curved surfaces. Tapped .138-32 holes on one side and the base plate allow installation of various adapters (not included). The protractor comes inside of a hard case. It also includes an eight page instruction manual. I am not fimiliar with the operation of this device; however, I can tell you that it powers up when turned on. The protractor appears to work according to the instructions. The protractor is in very good condition. Please review the photographs.
