This is a BEST Lock deadbolt new-in-the-box, Model No. 5T5K DS, finish 626 (satin chrome). It is a commercial grade, heavy duty deadbolt that is suitable for use in a residential or commercial establishment. It has a single cylinder on the outside and a turn knob on the inside. The backset on this deadbolt is 2 3/4 inches. For those of you not familiar with Best locking systems, they allow for instant, renewable security. It takes just 10 seconds to change a core. The solid brass cylinder is drilled to accept 5 pin cores only. Two 5 pin cores, E keyway, are included with this deadbolt. The cores are keyed differently, allowing the user to instantly change cores in the event of a security compromise. Included are two operating keys for each core, two master keys that operate both cores and one control key. Instructions and all hardware necessary for installation are included. These are no longer available from BEST, but if they were would retail (with cores) for more than $80. These Best locks were manufactured in the United States. If you purchase more than one, you can request that the cores be keyed alike or different. |
